Bio:

Lydell has been a skyfairer since well before the majority of you could walk. Originally selected as one of the first conscripted for the surface mines, he has been on the run ever since. Originally a stowaway on the legendary ship, The Dashing Bastard, Lydell worked his way up through the ranks of the ship’s crew over two decades in his youth, eventually approaching the inner circle of officers on the massive ship. His prowess as a warrior and sailor is well known, and his name carries weight in dishonest ports of call, albeit not to the point of being able to legitimize.

However, Lydell at this point decided to strike out on his own, and with his saved cut bought his first ship. Ever since that point a steady stream of crew members have been in and out of numerous ships under his captaincy. Partly this is due to a compulsive gambling habit, but it also comes down to the fact that Lydell has frequently had to erase records of his existence (such as physical ships) through liquidation to keep from having to face the draft in his advancing age.

Lydell has recently taken the opportunity to retire from active piracy, settling down in the city of Jugar now that he has lost most of his net worth over a single hand of poker. His name still carries clout, but not always for the same reasons to the same people.
